Last year Polish Juke has kick-started a new chain of releases via their imprint, a chain that was meant to create connections between the original members of collective and representatives from the outside ones, tightening the international ties between the local scenes by engaging producers to not only make original tracks on their own, but to remix each others work as well.
The first part of the Split Series saw Polish Juke mainstay COMOC go head-to-head against japanese-bred CRZKNY, mashing their leftield take on the footwork genre to jaw-dropping results.
The second installment is a clash between two duos - Wroclaw's Heinsebergs and Iberian Juke founders, BSN Posse, hailing from Malaga. Both of their cuts shine with uncanny production values, taking a rather maximalist take on the genre. Lush pads, chopped up vocals and melodic basslines all are served on a healthy dose of hard-hitting drums. Each remix breaths new life into both groups' original compositions, complimenting each other to a stunning effect.
The Split Series continues to set a new level with each release and this one is surely not to be missed.
